EMS in MA
At this moment there is someone across the state who needs medical help. Urgently.
It may be a motor vehicle accident on a busy stretch of road or someone suffering a cardiac episode; a person with a frightening allergic reaction in need of antidote or a victim of violent crime needing trauma care. It may be a patient who needs transportation from a long-term care facility to the hospital or an expectant mom in labor.
There are nearly 20,000 EMTs and Paramedics across Massachusetts, responding to the medical needs of our neighbors and our families every minute of every day. They work with other first responders and medical professionals to be that lifeline we all depend on.
The Massachusetts Ambulance Association represents private ambulance services throughout Massachusetts. Our association members employ more than 6,000 employees and operate 80% of all licensed ambulances within the Commonwealth. Together, we provide the highest quality pre-hospital care to Massachusetts residents. Collectively, we advocate for fair reimbursement and thoughtful regulation to ensure continued mobile health care excellence.
