About the Massachusetts Ambulance Association

The Massachusetts Ambulance Association is the only recognized trade association of private ambulance services throughout Massachusetts. Currently, our association is made up of more than 30 private ambulance companies that collectively provide more than 70% of all ambulance transports annually in Massachusetts.

MAA members employ more than 6,000 EMTs, paramedics, communications professionals, administrators and support staff, and operate 80% of all licensed ambulances within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Together, we advocate for the continued ability to provide the highest quality of pre-hospital care, while advocating for adequate reimbursement to ensure the continued success of our member services.
